About Dynathon

It all started in 2010 with an academic thesis in music from Luleå University of Technology in northern Sweden.

In order to have his Bachelor’s degree in music Daniel (the drummer and founder of Dynathon) needed to complete his graduation thesis. One part of the project was to “document the research results in audible form”. Or in other words – make music. Out of nowhere Daniel got melody and lyrics for three songs – Savior of Man, Only in the name of Jesus and In the name of the Lord.

That was the seed for what was to become Dynathon. Often when God gives a vision for something new he simply gives that – a seed. This seed then needs to be nurtured in order to grow into what it was meant to be. In other words – the vision of the band needed to grow both musically and spiritually to find the right direction and purpose.

In the spring of 2022 Daniel finally felt it was time to put this band together and in the fall of 2022 the band Dynathon was formed.

The meaning of the name Dynathon

What does Dynathon mean? The word Dynathon comes from the greek root Dyna, which means power. The word Dynathon means possible and is a summary of the vision of the band:

We want to tell people the possibilities of walking with God and help people to see their God-given potential.
